Dr. Bruno Marie is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Neurobiology, University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus, where he serves as the scientific coordinator of the RCMI Neurogenetics core facility. He is also Adjunct Professor in the department of Anatomy and Neurobiology, MSC, UPR.

Dr Marie received his PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Sussex, UK in 2000. He then completed his post-doctoral training at the Institute of Neurobiology (2000-2002) and at the University of California, San Francisco (2002-2007).

Dr. Marie’s research area of interest is synaptic plasticity. Dr. Marie’s laboratory uses Drosophila genetics, imaging and electrophysiology to isolate molecules and mechanisms involved in synaptic plasticity.

Dr. Marie’s research is currently supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) - MBRS- SCORE Grant: 1SC2NS077924.

Research Areas: Synaptic homeostasis, molecular mechanisms.

PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
