    Collapse overview
I am currently Professor and Chair of the Department of Physiology, Director of Research in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Director
of the Mentoring Academy at MSM and Co-investigator in the National Research Mentoring Network for a Diverse Biomedical Workforce. I have received extensive training in the laboratory of Dr. Everett Anderson, James Stillman Professor of Comparative Anatomy and Professor of Cell Biology, Harvard Medical School
and as Embryologist at the world-renowned Marine Biological Laboratories, Wood Hole, MA. I have served on a number of study sections from NIH and DOD. I have also served as a faculty mentor in the NICHD Aspen Conference on Maternal-Fetal-Neonatal-Reproductive Medicine and the Magee-Women’s Research
Institute BIRCWH Program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. I am a NIH-funded (R01 and U01) basic science investigator in the field of women reproductive health and infertility and has directed multidisciplinary, multi-investigator research teams with a strong track record of establishing effective inter institutional partnerships including the Cooperative Reproductive Science Research Center, Atlanta Center for Translational Research on Endometriosis (partnership with Dr. Robert Taylor, Emory University) and Stem Cell Biology Training Course (partnership with Dr. Gerald Schatten, Magee Women’s Institute).

PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
