    I am an associate professor in the Department of Demography at the University of Texas at San Antonio.

    My research focuses on spatial demography and statistical demography, Substantively, I am interested in human health and reproduction and the application of modern statistical methods to problems in demography and health.

    My teaching is primarily focused on the use and application of advanced statistical techniques including hazards analysis, multivariate methods and spatial statistics in human population analysis.

    I am interested in the geographic patterns of health disparities, including cancer and childhood health conditions
