Dr. House is an Assistant Professor of Cancer Biology in the Biology Department at San Diego State University (SDSU). She received a BS in Biology from George Mason University in 2004. She then completed a postbaccalaureate fellowship at the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). She received her PhD in Molecular Medicine from The George Washington University in 2011. Her graduate work focused on clarifying the role of voltage-activated ion channels in colon cancer progression. Dr. House then completed her postdoctoral training at the National Cancer Institute at NIH, where she investigated the NF-kB signaling pathway in chemotherapy resistant ovarian cancer stem cells. Dr. House joined SDSU in 2018 where her lab continues to investigate mechanisms of ovarian cancer relapse and the role of the tumor microenvironment in supporting chemotherapy resistance. She also is the Co-Leader of the Weight in Cancer Research Project of SDSU HealthLINK Center.

PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
