overview José Guillermo Conde is Professor in the Division of Graduate Studies at the University of Puerto Rico (UPR) School of Medicine. In addition, he is Director of the RCMI Program and the Center for Information Technologies and Tele-communications (CentIT2) at the UPR Medical Sciences Campus. He has previously served as Program Director for the eagle-I initiative at the Medical Sciences Campus. He has also occupied positions as Internet2 Executive Liaison and Internet2 Public Affairs Representative of the University of Puerto Rico System. José earned his BS (Chemistry), MD, and MPH (epidemiology) degrees at the University of Puerto Rico (UPR) System, and a residence in General Preventive Medicine at the Bloomberg Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. He teaches clinical epidemiology and public health courses at the School of Medicine. José is coauthor of 31 peer-reviewed publications, and several oral and poster presentations. He was one of the first collaborators of the REDCap Consortium, and was a charter member of the REDCap Library Oversight Committee (REDLOC), which approves inclusion of research data collection instruments in the REDCap Shared Library. His current interests include applications of the Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) software (http://project-redcap.org/) and analysis of health-related population-based open data.
