I serve as a RCMI Program Manager at City College of New York (CCNY). My current duties include supervising of the office assistant, office aides, and federal work-study students. I also process new employment package (hiring, termination and other changes), maintain and update employee administrative files and process invoices and payment request electronically to our main department (Research Foundation of CUNY). I also work closely with the Principal Investigator and Program Director on conducting the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals and Annual Progress Report (APR) and RPPR submission. Also, I work closely with our Grant Evaluator on implementing and reviewing program data for Program Evaluation Report. I also host, conduct and workshops, webinars and seminars. In addition, I work with the Program Coordinator and Program Associate with program planning which includes designing and implementing the policies of the office, budgeting and etc. I also handle any NIH office request, request from our Grant Administrator at National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD), Research Foundation of CUNY, as well as request by CCNY Research Investigators, staff and students.
Additionally, I also served as a RTRN Communication Liaison, to ensure researcher participation and engagement within the RCMI-RTRN community Network. Some of my responsibilities includes; working closely with the RTRN communication network team in disseminating research related information to all CCNY Research Investigators, assist in the process of promoting RCMI activities and upcoming conferences, seminars, assist in the process of finding collaboration opportunities among RCMI institutions, provide information on funding opportunities, distribute research related webinar to Research Investigators. Furthermore, I also work closely with the DCC team by assisting in creating and editing profiles for new research members, staff and students. I also coordinate visits for RTRN/DCC team/ Research Navigators to visit laboratories and core facilities on-site and or remotely.
