My research background is in the area of polymer chemistry. Throughout my graduate studies I have worked on several projects all of which entailed the use of a nanofiller to some capacity. My most recent project investigated the effect of stereoregularity on composite formation using polystyrene and single-walled carbon nanotube (SWNT). I have also investigated the design of synthetic polymer systems both in solution and solid state that are capable of interacting with biomaterials for the fabrication of biosensors.
