Dr. Stelzer is Assistant Professor of Industrial Pharmacy in the School of Pharmacy at the University of Puerto Rico-Medical Sciences Campus. Before joining the University of Puerto Rico, he was Post-doctoral Associate in the the research group of Prof. Allan Myerson in the Department of Chemical Engineering at MIT. Prior to this position at MIT Dr. Stelzer served as Assistant Professor (Habilitand) in the Center of Engineering Sciences at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU) in Germany. He was educated at MLU (diplom degree in engineering, Dipl.-Ing. and Ph.D.).
The research of Dr. Stelzer is focused on crystallization (solution/melt) with an emphasis on pharmaceutical substances (small and macro molecules) including purification/separation and novel formulation techniques to address the needs in the industry by bridging the gap to academic research with the aid of experimental and model-driven design tools.

PMC Citations indicate the number of times the publication was cited by articles in PubMed Central, and the Altmetric score represents citations in news articles and social media. (Note that publications are often cited in additional ways that are not shown here.) Fields are based on how the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classifies the publication's journal and might not represent the specific topic of the publication. Translation tags are based on the publication type and the MeSH terms NLM assigns to the publication. Some publications (especially newer ones and publications not in PubMed) might not yet be assigned Field or Translation tags.) Click a Field or Translation tag to filter the publications.
