overview My research focus is on signal transduction and gene expression mechanisms relevant to cell growth, cell migration, and cell survival under changing environment or under stress. Information gained from the basic science research would help advance knowledge on how cancer and non-cancer diseases evolve. Currently, my laboratory studies the stressed activated Hippo-YAP signaling pathway to understand the molecular mechanisms of cancer cell growht, metastasis and resistance to therapy. My laboratory utilizes variety of complementary approaches including proteomics, genomics and bioinformatics as well cell cultures including 3D cultures, animal models and clinical samples to carry out the proposed research.
