I am a board certified Internist with 8 years experience and an Associate Professor at Morehouse School of Medicine. I have a keen interest in chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity and also in quality improvement projects. I have over 6 years of experience in the anticoagulation clinic with special interest in perioperative anticoagulation. In this capacity, I have spearheaded a project to create a guidance document for perioperative anticoagulation in our hospital and is currently doing a quality improvement project in this realm. Thromboembolism in Covid 19 patients is still a mystery. We are trying to solve this by being part of a study to identify prevalence of thromboembolism among Covid infected patients. Serving the underserved and the less fortunate has always been my interest and goal of becoming a doctor and am constantly looking for ways to make an impact in their lives.
