As a alumnus of the Cancer Biology Program at The University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Houston, as a postdoctoral fellow and instructor at the Department of Experimental Therapeutics at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, I have been well prepared to have a successful independent career in the academic cancer research field. Throughout my training, I have strived to improve my scientific toolset, critical thinking and mentoring skills. As an Assistant Professor at Ponce Health Sciences University, it is my goal to further develop these essential qualities while striving to serve the institution’s mission of excellence in cancer research and teaching junior scientists.
